The Andrej Kmeť Museum focuses on research and documentation of nature of northwestern Slovakia, mainly regions of Turiec, Orava, Kysuce and Liptov; as well as the history of the Slovak National Museum Society and it´s founding fathers, stressing the personality of Andrej Kmeť. It is located in it´s original building of the Slovak National Museum from 1908.
